And Four More Quilts

It was my birthday yesterday as well as the two year anniversary for the Victorian Bush fires. I decided to go to my Quilt Guild, AQA in Melbourne yesterday and had a lovely day chatting with like-minded people.
I also met up with one of my blog readers, Maryjane Morris. She is a delightful lady and she delivered five huge bags of fabric, 2 finished quilts and some tops.
I haven't had time to unpack everything yet but here are the two finished quilts I think she said a friend had donated them for the flood appeal.
The last two quilts are more QAYG that I put together before my trip to Melbourne.
Today has been a day of sorting and photographing all the donations from yesterday and today so my other blog will have an update soon.
Hugs and many thanks for all your generous donations.

  1. what a day to remember for you, i groaned when i read that. anyway it sounds like you had a happy and productive day and received a tonne of wonderful donations. nice kids quilts, a smaller size than usual.
i'm on an enforced break as my bernina is in for service, but still the blocks keep rolling in.
btw, i was asked yesterday if you know of anyone making quilts for the cyclone hit areas?
    happy stitching, k.

  2. Happy belated Birthday!!!, lovely to see the different quilts being donated. You sure don't let the grass grow under your feet!!!!

  3. Thanks for the birthday wishes. It's been a busy week but I would like to get some more quilts finished so I have enough to take over Rochester way soon.
Re the cyclone areas I was told that some of the Tully and Mission beach people have been evacuated to Emerald. I don;t know if this is correct but I would think they will also be given quilts as the flood affected areas are given out.I'll post if I get more info.
    Hugs Jan Mac
