Progress This Week

I managed to finish of the baby jacket and crocheted blanket that I was working on and the blanket will be going to the Melbourne Homeless Connect Day to be held on March 19th.
I also made the blocks for a QAYG quilt using fabric from clothes I'd bought at the op/thrift shop. I made them larger so I needed less for a quilt and this one will also go to the Homeless Connect Day.
It was good to make something useful from clothing that was outdated but de-constructing the clothing took up more time than it was probable worth so I think I'll continue to use scraps leftover from other quilting projects instead.

Time To Quilt

It's great to be home again, to not be coughing much after recovering from the chest infection I picked up in China, and to get started on some more QAYG quilts.
The floods which are occurring in NSW and Qld at the moment have meant that people will probably be in need of quilts again and the Connect Days for the Homeless will be taking place in all States again so the need for quilts, blankets, hats, gloves and scarves continues.
It's great to have so many lovely donated QAYG blocks to choose from when I have time to finish more quilts.
I should have more to show very soon.
