Four Finishes

I finally got my quilting time back and managed to quilt 4 donated tops yesterday. This morning I bound three of them and put together a QAYG quilt. After such a productive but tiring morning I'm taking a break now and have switched to crocheting squares while I watch the football on TV.
I hope everyone is having a lovely sunny weekend too.

Batik Beauty

This fabulous batik quilt was made and donated by Kelly Hamlyn-Harris from Vic. The photo really doesn't do it justice as it really glows with colour and I would think that the fabric comes from a Bali Pop jelly roll. It is such a special quilt and will be treasured by it's new owner.
I'm just blown away by the generosity of quilters who willingly share their talents and quilts to comfort others in need.
Thank you so much for your lovely donation Kelly. I know it will bring comfort to somone as well as warm them.
Hugs and grateful thanks, Jan Mac

KIds' Quilts Again

I have managed to get two more donated quilt tops finished and these are lovely and colourful to warm a small child's heart and body.
I haven't achieved as much as I would have liked due to working night shifts but at least two more quilts will be donated to their new homes very soon.

Fabulous Quilts for Kids

These beautiful quilts were all made and donated by quilters from Girgarre and Kyabram. They are so colourful and the kids will have so much fun with the eye spy squares.
The larger ones will go to a group which runs camps for abused kids, aged from 6 to 12, and the rest will be donated to people needing some comfort.
Thank you all for your very generous donations to the needy.
Hugs, Jan Mac

QAYG Anyone?

I hope you're not tired of QAYG quilts, as thanks to more donations, I've managed to finish and donate 3 more. Most of these beautiful quilts were made from some of the blocks donated by Kaye and the Rochie Patchers.
Last year the town of Rochester was inundated with flood waters and in fact many people still haven't been able to return to their repaired homes. Many of you sent QAYG blocks and quilt tops which were finished and donated to people of Rochester, as well as many other places affected by last year's floods.
As a thank you for all your donations, the Rochie Patchers from Rochester have made and donated 121 QAYG blocks to be made into quilts and donated on their behalf, as a way of paying it forward and thanking all of you for your generous donations.
I am back into quilting tops as well so will have some more to show very soon.
Hugs and thanks, Jan Mac

Finally Time to Quilt

I've been working extra shifts which have been mostly nights so sleeping has taken priority over quilting for the last few weeks. I did manage to get a couple more quilts finished.
The first one was made from QAYG squares donated by one of the ladies from Kyabram and will be ideal for a male.
The second one was a set of blocks which someone had made to practice their hand quilting. I put them together using the QAYG method too and will make a lovely lap quilt to donate.
I'm off to work again today but hope to get some more quilts finished soon. I've also been asked for another 35 quilts for a camp for abused kids so I'm starting on those as soon as I have time. Luckily I have had some tops for kids donated by Lesley and her friends from Kyabram so just need to find time for the quilting.
Hope you're all having some quilting fun.
Hugs, Jan Mac
