Quilts donated by quilters both in Australia and overseas to help bring some comfort to those affected by the tragic floods in Queensland and Victoria, as well as in the earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan in 2011, and to other welfare agencies.

Quilts from Alice Springs Quilters 1
The first of the beautiful quilts made from donated blocks from around the world and put together by Alice Springs quilters.
Woohoo! There are some of our quilts - last and fourth from last. I saw others in later posts, too. The fourth from last is from my aunt, and the last one was made by several people in my family who get together once a month to "stitch and bitch"! It's so amazing to see what you're doing to distribute these quilts. Thank you (as I've thanked Tia already) for giving us an opportunity to contribute.
* The details are shown on the blog http://sewmanyquiltstoolittletime.blogspot.com posted on January 6th 2011. * Blocks to be made to 10.5" square. * Strips to join blocks cut width of fabric and 2.5" wide. * 21 strips needed to make and bind quilt with a set of blocks 5x7 * Tutorial on how to join the QAYG blocks together is shown on past blog http://sewmanyquiltstoolittletime.blogspot.com post Feb 2009.
