Quilts donated by quilters both in Australia and overseas to help bring some comfort to those affected by the tragic floods in Queensland and Victoria, as well as in the earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan in 2011, and to other welfare agencies.

Quilts for Eaglehawk
These are some of the quilts that Mary-anne has handed out in Bendigo for the Eaglehawk people who lost their homes to fire. The first three are by Stephanie D. in WA, and the other six are from her friend, Noeleen. The families who received these quilts will love them for their bright colours as well as their cuddly warmth.

Using 8 ply and no 8 needles, cast on 24 stitches. (Knit 1, inc in next stitch) to end 36 sts. Beg with purl row st st 7 rows K14 (K2tog) 4 times K14 (32 sts) Purl K12 (K2tog) 4 times K12 (28 sts) Purl K10 (K2tog) 4 times K10 (24 sts) Purl Beg with knit row st st 12 rows Garter stitch 5 rows Cast off and sew up side and bottom seam
